Hamlet fan Stephen Desmond wants YOU to record our season!
He is asking Hamlet fans to write a chapter of a new Dulwich Hamlet book - "The Only Way Is Up"
We're looking for fans who would like to contribute a chapter to a book on Dulwich Hamlet's glorious 2012/13 season.
Hamlet fan Stephen wants Dulwich Hamlet fans to record for posterity what our first championship in 35 years meant to them. It doesn't have to be a review of the whole campaign, you can concentrate on something that was extra special to you, if you like.
And you don't have to be a brilliant writer. You don't even need to be a good writer. We'll add any necessary tidy and polish before publication. This is all about collating a raw, rambling mix of memories and perspectives - 'by the fans, for the fans' - that will encompass the diversity and inclusiveness that has been so evident at the club throughout the season.
Topics can be, well, whatever you want - Tooting Away, The Turkish Ultras, Chants and Flags, Wallgate, The 12th Man, Danny Carr, Cup Run, Herne Bay away, No.119 is Ellis Green, etc.
We'll need around a thousand to 2000 words per chapter, but longer pieces are more than welcomed, by mid-June, in order to get it printed in time to be sold at pre-season games, with all profits going to the '12th Man' scheme, if it manages to break even.
If that sounds a little too much, then you can also send in small pieces, which we can put together, in a sort of, 'soundbites' chapter. But if you're feeling a bit ambitious & enthiasastic, you can submit more than one big article.

This is being published totally independently from Dulwich Hamlet football Club, so although it won't be an official Club publication, it will be agreat way to showcase our wonderful team and season, so get writing!
