Hamlet fans are walking to Kingstonian on Monday...

Or to be more precise walking from Kingsmeadow to Leatherhead.

A group of supporters, including Football Committee member Mishi Morath, are getting up early on Monday to meet at Kingsmeadow, the former home of our opponents Kingstonian, and will be walking all the way from there to Fetcham Grove, the Leatherhead ground where the K's currently share.

Just like last year's 'stroll' from Champion Hill to Wingate & finchley, the money raised will be split between the 'Inter City 125' campaign and another worthy cause.

This year half of what is pledged will be going to Hamlet fan Neil Cole's ongoing efforts to place defibrillators in London parks, that don't have one on site. CLICK HERE to read more.

Mishi Morath, who suggested the walk, said:

"There won't be as many of us this season, the start location isn't ideal for some I would have thought. But those of us that do it will put our best foot forward, and hopefully get there in time for kick off."

He added:

"With all the rain we've had I just hope it keeps dry, and if the match is postponed due to waterlogging then think of those of us who will still be heading to Leatherhead via Shank's Pony!"
