Junior Savane dual-registers at Wingate & Finchley, plus updates on Diallo, Abubakari, Morris & Heslop

Young defender Junior Savane has joined Isthmian League Premier Division side Wingate & Finchley on a dual-registration deal.

Savane featured three times in pre-season as a trilaist, playing against Whitehawk, Sutton United and Arsenal U23s, before Gavin Rose added him to his first-team squad. However, the 20-year-old has yet to his competitive debut for the first team, having been an unused substitute in the trilogy of 2-1 August losses to Slough Town, Eastbourne Borough and Welling United.

The defender partners up with ex-Hamlet vice-captain Marc Weatherstone, who is now the manager at Wingate, the club in which he spent the majority of his playing career. We wish Junior the best of luck for his time there.

Elsewhere, it has been a difficult start to life at Merstham for ex-Hamlet captain Peter Adeniyi with his side currently sitting bottom of the Isthmian League Division One South Central, but the trio of Hamlet players currently dual-registered there have certainly had some important game experience.

Midfielders Alpha Diallo and Malachi Morris made their debut for the Moatsiders on the opening day of the season last month as substitutes in a 2-1 loss at home to Southall, with both earning their full debuts three days later in a goalless draw at Tooting & Mitcham United. Defender Jamal Abubakari also made his first appearance in this game, appearing from the bench.

So far, Diallo has appeared in all seven games that the Moatsiders have played in all competitions this season, whilst Morris and Abubakari have made five and four appearances respectively. Morris has also netted his first goal for the club, scoring a penalty in a 2-1 defeat to South Park on Bank Holiday Monday.

Elsewhere, Tyrese Heslop has appeared twice for Chipstead in the same division, making his debut in their opening game of the season in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round, playing the full game as Chipstead suffered an upset against lower league Tunbridge Wells. He made his league debut on August 20th, coming off the bench for the last 17 minutes in a defeat to South Park. However, he has not been part of a match day squad since then.
