It was a happy bunch of diehard fans at Champion Hill last night
And we asked some of them after the final whistle what they thought of our emphatic crushing of Kent Leaguers Erith Town. Here's what they had to say:
Laraine Bateman, Walworth:
"It was great fun, the goals I saw were well decent. We're a good team to watch, worthy of the Hamlet shirt."
Jim Linehan, East Dulwich:
"A cracking result,I hope we can play as well as that in the league, then we can win that as well!. The goals were quality, I really hope we can keep hold of the Turkish fella!"
Shaun Dooley, Nunhead:
"It was a great team performance from the outset, we set out to play football, and to be fair to them we didn't come up against a dirty team. As the game wore on we came into our own & our passing ability shone through. A great credit to Gavin Rose & his team. Looking at the young ages of all of our goalscorers it bodes well for the future."
Guy Grater, East Dulwich:
"An exciting exemplary display of total football.Very good to watch, the opposition were a game side, their football was good to watch as well."
Mark Panton,Loughborough Junction:
" A fantastic performance, especially from Erhun!"
Christian Burt, Nunhead:
"As the game wore on, The Hamlet class shone through!"
Ronald Blastock, East Dulwich:
" I thought the first half was a lot more even, in the second half we stepped up a gear to play much better football. I was very impressed with the young substitutes, especially Taylor Thomas & Daniel Carr, the nine, also had a good game. Our goalie Phil Wilson had a solid game & our little Turk scored two quality goals. Towards the end we were really on top with brilliant football."
