KARGBO COMEBACK CONTINUES
Welcome news for Dulwich Hamlet as Ibrahim Kargbo continued his rehabilitation following an ankle injury.
Kargbo sustained that injury in the 4-0 win over Grays Athletic back in September, a blameless freak accident. However yesterday (Monday) afternoon the former Sierra Leone skipper returned to match action as he played a full hour in a behind closed doors friendly against Bromley. The game also featured first teamers Preston Edwards, Quade Taylor, Sanchez Ming, Ibra Sekajja and Danny Carr. In addition, Alfred Mugabo had a strong run out as his return to full fitness gathers pace. Having missed the entire campaign after suffering the repeat of a meniscus tear late in pre-season. Alfred has latterly returned to the match day squad, six times an unused substitute since October. The Dulwich Hamlet squad also included Rhys Murrell-Williamson who has been without a club since departing National League side Boreham Wood. Rhys initially joined the ‘Wood in September after being released by Dulwich but played only 15 minutes as a second half substitute for them at home to Torquay United.
With the Bromley side containing the likes of first team regulars Ben Chorley, Connor Dymond, Reece Prestedge, Dave Martin, Adam Cunnington, Joe Anderson & Jordan Higgs to name but a few, the result was an excellent one for Gavin Rose and his men, Dulwich Hamlet triumphing 6-3 against the Lilywhites.
