Krasniqi Retained For 23-24
Kosovan midfielder will continue at the Hamlet for a second season
Midfielder Kreshnic Krasniqi has re-signed for the Hamlet ahead of the 2023-24 season.
The 28-year-old signed for the Hamlet 12 months ago from Ebbsfleet United, and played 31 times for the club during his first year at Champion Hill.
The former Maidstone United and Billericay Town midfielder has continued to train with the club during pre-season, and played the first 45 minutes of our friendly with Altona '93 which kicked off our summer fixtures.
One thing that Kresh will have to improve on this season will be his disciplinary record, following three straight red cards during the course of last season, for which he missed a total of 12 matches.
"Kresh wanted to be here for the upcoming season, which as I've said before, is important to me." said Hakan Hayrettin.
"Terry and I thought long and hard about the situation, and ultimately we felt he could be a good part of our squad this year. If we can get the best of out Kresh, and I don't think anyone did last season, he will be a good asset."
"He's paid the price for last year, but he wants to work hard to rectify those mistakes. There is an element of redemption required, and he wants to redeem himself to the fans. Most players from last year turned their noses up at being here, he was not one of them, he wants to put the wrongs right."
