Let the train take the strain!

Let the train take the strain!

The weather's looking good tomorrow, so why not leave the motor at home and jump on a train down to the coast for the big FA Cup game tomorrow.

Brighton is one of the easiest places to get to, and one of the more pleasant of the South Coast seaside towns.

There are plenty of trains down to the coast, but for those on a slightly tight budget we would suggest getting the Thameslink service, which is a bit slower, stopping at more stations, but works out cheaper. BEWARE that some tickets are not valid on all services, a consequence of the minefield of years of privatisation of the railways.

The Whitehawk ground may be on the edge of town, but it's easy to get to from the main train station, a mere bus ride away.
The ground is called the Enclosed Ground & is at East Brighton Park, Wilson Avenue, Brighton, Sussex BN2 5TS
The suggested bus route, from Brighton Station, taken from the always reliable Andy of Kent website, is as follows:

Station: Brighton 3¼m. Brighton and Hove bus 7 / Compass Travel bus 47 from Brighton (Station) to Brighton (Roedean Road at Whitehawk Road); nine times per hour, takes 18 mins. Then continue east along Roedean Road and left into Wilson Avenue, right into East Brighton Park, follow road around to left and ground is on right (14 mins). Stop for return into Brighton is on Arundel Road; from Wilson Avenue, right into Roedean Road and then second left.

The ground is not too far from the Brighton Marina, which will please our fans who are also connoisseurs of Wetherspoons pubs, as there is one in the Marina itself.
