AFC Croydon Athletic lost their home tie, at The Arena, by the odd goal in seven to Kent Leaguers Erith Town last night.

However London FA rules state that in the event of a draw ties must now go to penalty kicks after the ninety minutes are up, with no extra time.

With the scores level after full time, at one apiece, it has been reported that the referee started the first period of extra time, but this was interupted when the designated official from the London Football Association came down from the stand, to say there should not in fact be extras being played.

The two sides & the match referee decided to play on, with Erith Town hitting the winner in the 120th minute.

So it might be a case of 'wait & see'...will the result be allowed to stand? Will there now be an appeal from the losing side?

Hopefully we will find out soon...but as it stands are opponents in the London Senior Cup will be Erith Town.
