Lowestoft Town 2-0 Dulwich Hamlet
Dulwich never came to terms with the conditions and slipped to a disappointing defeat.
Gavin Rose was forced into changes to both his first choice full backs with Mathieu Boyer and Ahmed Deen both out injured. However, Dean Lodge returned from suspension whilst, at full back, Nyren Clunis and Ethan Pinnock deputised.
The first half was almost a non-event as Dulwich could not achieve the accuracy required to cope with the strong wind in their favour. Neither side looked as if they could break the deadlock with the closest to a goal coming right on half-time as Jerome Walker got away on the right but Dean Lodge could only stab his effort wide from six yards.
It didn't take long for Lowestoft to go in front after half-time as a corner was scrambled home at the far post by Sam Gaughran just three minutes after the break. The second followed on 55 minutes from Ross Jarvis and was another flick home from a corner.
Phi Wilson saw a long range free kick get caught on the wind and hit the bar whilst Lowestoft thought they had a third following another scramble but we're thwarted by the assistant's flag.
Despite rotating the team from the bench The Hamlet were unable to find a way back in to the game and failed to find the net for the first time since September.
