Martin Eede speaks to the papers again
Our Club Secretary enthuses about our pre-season home matches in the 'South London Press', from Friday
Here is what they published:
Hamlet chief Eede is thrilled at friendlies
Martin Eede reckons Dulwich Hamlet have got the most exciting pre-season programme during his time at Champion Hill as the Ryman Premier Division One newboys get ready to welcome Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday (7.45pm kick off.
The South Londoners face the League Two outfit-now managed by their former boss Wayne Burnett-as their preparations for the campaign begin.
Dulwich also have a July 23 visit from Huddersfield Town, as part of the deal which took Hamlet hotshot Danny Carr to the Galpharm Stadium, and host a Millwall XI on July 30. Their final warm-up is against Crystal Palace, an agreement which was put in place when defender Michael Chambers switched to the Eagles in 2012, on August 6.
Eede said: "Without doubt it is the most exciting pre-season we've had in the 15 years that I have been here. We are thrilled about all the games." Dulwich are gearing up to life in the Ryman Premier Division after promotion last season. Eede said: "Most people supporting the club and involved in it would be happy to see our position stabilised but knowing Gavin Rose I can't imagine he will be happy with that. Knowing his way of things he'll keep a pretty steady squad of similar names but will add two or three to that. There is no pressure on us-whereas last season there was to get into the Premier Division. The boys have got to show they belong there-I know that they do."
