The Hamlet return to SE22 on Saturday as we host Canvey Island in our 4th game of the 25/26 Isthmian League season. 

The Hamlet come into this one with 3 wins from their opening 3 with victories against Dartford, Wingate & Finchley and Ramsgate scoring 7 conceding none. 

Luke Wanadio got his 4th and 5th goals of the season with a tidy bottom corner finish in the 1st half before firing a penalty home in the last 15 minutes. 

Last time out at Champion Hill the Hamlet hit the ground running with a 4-0 demolition job against title favourites Dartford. Lonit Talla scored his 1st goal before Luke Wanadio stole the show with a hat-trick. 

It's the start of a busy August Bank Holiday for Mark Dacey and his side as they head to Brighton on Monday to take on Whitehawk. 

It's been a difficult start for new manager Peter Taylor at Canvey Island. The former England manager took over in the summer but has so far overseen 3 losses from 3. A defeat away to Cray Wanderers on the opening day was followed up by home defeats to Cheshunt and Folkestone Invicta. They come into this one having conceded 8 and scoring just 1. 

Mark Dacey and his side will be looking to continue their fine start to the season this weekend before heading into the FA Cup next week. 

SQUAD NEWS: 

Anthony Cook returns following his suspension that he picked up at the end of last season. Jordan Wynter could also make a return whilst Amadou Kassarate can also return to action following his period out with concussion. Anthony Jeffrey continues to do his work off the pitch as he aims to recover from a back issue he got during pre season.
