The Hamlet host Canvey Island at Champion Hill on an afternoon where 3 points could confirm their step 3 status.

The Hamlet went close to reaching the London Senior Cup on Tuesday night after they took an early lead against Hanwell Town through Aaron Williams-Bushell. Hanwell would come behind and secure their passage into the final with three goals all coming from Hamlet mistakes. Amaru Kaunda would give the Hamlet a route back into the match but it would all be too little too late. 

The reverse fixture between these two sides was one of the Hamlet's two away league victories coming all the way back in September. 

Since then both sides have struggled to manage with the demands of the Isthmian League. 

Last weekend though Canvey all but secured their spot in the Isthmian League with a 1-0 victory over Hastings United. Their last victory away from the Island came on December 14th when they defeated strugglers Hendon 1-0. 

SQUAD NEWS: 

This is the fittest the Hamlet squad has been for a long time. Jordan Wynter is set to return whilst Ben Mason looks like he could also return to the Hamlet squad. Kreshnic Krasniqi and Dillon Barnes are unlikely to feature in pink & blue again.
