MATCH PREVIEW | Dulwich Hamlet vs Chatham Town | 24/2/26
It's Tuesday night football at Champion Hill as promotion chasing Chatham Town visit swap Medway for South London.
The Hamlet recorded a memorable victory over Cray Valley (PM) on Saturday afternoon. Two goals in two minutes just before half-time from Sol Baugh and Anthony Jeffrey put the Hamlet on path to victory.
Despite a resilient display from ten man Cray Valley (PM) in the 2nd half it was the Hamlet who came out victorious much to the delight of the 150 or so fans who had made the journey to the outskirts of the capital.
It was a much needed return to winning ways for Mark Dacey and his side after back-to-back defeats to the current top two in Aveley and Folkestone Invicta. The victory over Cray Valley moved the Hamlet 12 clear of the drop zone and 11 points off the play-offs sitting comfortably in 13th position just four points behind last seasons overall points tally with twelve matches still to be played.
Chatham Town have had a memorable FA Trophy cup run which ended a couple of weekends ago as they lost to National League side Southend United by a goal to nil.
They also took on a relegation threatened side on Saturday. Defeating Welling United 3-1, it was their first victory since the 17th January. Since then they've fallen to defeats against Billericay Town, Brentwood Town and Chichester City whilst picking up a point against Cray Wanderers.
Victory for the Chats at Champion Hill on Tuesday could give them a 7 point cushion inside the Isthmian League play-offs if results elsewhere go their way.
SQUAD NEWS:
It's a headache for Mark Dacey and his management team with a fully fit Hamlet squad available for selection on Tuesday night. Gaspar Mico and Tom Chambers could both make their long awaited returns after spells on the sidelines.
