MATCH PREVIEW | Dulwich Hamlet vs Folkestone Invicta | Saturday
Dulwich Hamlet host league leaders Folkestone Invicta at Champion Hill on Saturday afternoon.
It's the perfect chance to bounce back from defeat to Aveley as champions elect Folkestone swap the South coast for South London.
The Hamlet tasted defeat last time out in the Isthmian League against Aveley last weekend. It was 2 goals in quick succession for the Millers as they looked to keep the pressure on league leaders Folkestone Invicta despite a late goal from Lonit Talla our hosts would hold on for victory.
Folkestone Invicta look like they could be league champions already. They find themselves 14 points clear of 2nd place Aveley with 12 games still to play.
They haven't conceded in 3 games and have scored 11 in the process. Putting 4 past Wingate & Finchley and 5 past Lewes whilst also defeating Welling United 2-0.
Their last defeat came against Aveley back in January as the Millers defeated Invicta 1-0.
When we met in October we were our opponents 1st home game since they installed a brand new 3G pitch. The Hamlet would take the lead in the 1st half through Nyren Clunis before getting a golden chance to go 2 up midway through the 2nd half as we were awarded a penalty reducing our hosts to 10 men. Sol Baugh would miss the penalty before Joe Piggott scored 2 in 9 minutes to put Folkestone within touching distance of 3 points only for Joe Adewunmi to head home from a corner in the final minute.
SQUAD NEWS:
Gaspar Mico and Tom Chambers miss out this weekend while Amadou Kassarate serves the final part of his 3 match suspension meaning he misses this match-up with his former side.
