MATCH PREVIEW | Dulwich Hamlet vs Hendon | FA Trophy | 4/10/25

Hendon visit the Hamlet in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Trophy on Saturday afternoon.

The Hamlet will be looking to regain their early season form which saw them pick up 4 wins from their opening 5 matches with only 1 goal conceded.

It's been a difficult week for Mark Dacey's side with back to back defeats against Brentwood Town and Cray Wanderers midweek.

The Hamlet took an early lead on Saturday against league leaders Brentwood Town. Anthony Jeffrey came back with a bang as he fired the Hamlet ahead. Brentwood Town equalised just before half-time the league leaders then took the lead with 15 minutes left on the clock following an own goal.

On Tuesday night Cray Wanderers had a 3-0 lead by half-time. Danny Mills pulled on back for the Hamlet in the 2nd half. Cray made it 4-1 just before full-time Sol Baugh then got his 1st Hamlet goal just before full-time.

The only positive on Tuesday night was the return of Luke Wanadio who made his 1st start after his 3 match suspension and he'll be set for his 1st match at Champion Hill since our FA Cup exit to Whitstable Town.

Hendon picked up their 1st two wins of the season in the last week. Last Saturday they defeated Binfield 3-2 and on Tuesday night they defeated Fareham Town in spectacular fashion. A 7-1 victory means they come into this weekend's FA Trophy fixture.

These 2 sides battled step 3 relegation last season with the Hamlet securing their step 3 status with a victory over Canvey Island on Easter Saturday.

SQUAD NEWS:

Gio Palmer is the only name missing this weekend following an injury he picked up on Tuesday night against Cray Wanderers. He faces a month or so on the sidelines. Apart from that Mark Dacey has a fully fit squad at his disposal.
