It's 102 days since the Hamlet last played a competitive match that was against QPR in the London Senior Cup Final. This weekend however, it's the opening day of the 26/27 Isthmian League season and we take on newcomers Maldon & Tiptree. 

It's been a largely succesful pre season for the Hamlet with victories against Jersey Bulls, Millwall and Dorking Wanderers whilst getting draws against Horsham and QPR. The only defeat coming against Tonbridge Angels. 

New signings Ogo Obi, Kyron McKay, Ibrahim Bangura and Samir Carruthers have established themselves already in a squad that is largely unchanged from last season. Hudson Sands who signed on loan from Chelsea to cover for the injured Toby Bull as he recovers from a groin injury that he played with for large chunks of last season. 

Maldon & Tiptree have had a different pre season from most and the only publically available results they've had are a 1-0 lost to Clacton Town FC and a 2-1 loss to Erith Town. 

They begin their first campaign in step 3 with a visit to the Hill before hosting Aveley and Dartford. 

SQUAD NEWS: 

Toby Bull and Jadan Raymond remain out but are back out on the grass and working towards a return to action at some point in August or early September. Tahreem Montero's injury is not as bad as worse thought and he will be back in training next week. He's been following an individual training plan with Sport Therapist Carly Payne.
