MATCH PREVIEW | Dulwich Hamlet vs Ramsgate | 20/12/25
The Hamlet will look to finish 2025 in style as Ramsgate visit SE22 on Saturday afternoon.
It's been a disappointing week for the Hamlet with defeats against Lewes and Kingstonian. It was a chaotic end to the match against Lewes last weekend as the Sussex based side scored 3 goals in 13 minutes saw them comfortably return to Sussex with a 4-1 victory!
On Tuesday night the Hamlet exited the Velocity Cup following a 3-2 defeat to step 4 side Kingstonian. Goals from Amadou Kassarate and Jadan Raymond weren't enough to take the game to penalties as the K's set up a quarter-final tie with Wingate & Finchley.
A win against the Rams could move the Hamlet within a point of the play-off places heading into the final game of 2025 against Carshalton Athletic on December 27th.
Mark Dacey's side last tasted victory against Billericay Town at the beginning of December thanks to goals from Luke Wanadio and Amadou Kassarate. It was the Hamlet's 1st victory at New Lodge since 2018.
The visitors this weekend Ramsgate have a different manager from the one that started the season. Ben Smith departed the club in November following a successful stint in the dugout, guiding the Rams to promotion from step 4 last season. He was replaced by Lee Martin who started the season in the Welling United dugout.
Since Martin took the helm the Rams have slowly picked up form and find themselves 2 points behind the Hamlet in 11th place, they will be without striker Joe Taylor at Champion Hill as he departed the club this week. The striker left the Kent coast in the summer signing for Hornchurch before moving to Billericay Town, he then returned to Ramsgate in September.
The Hamlet have been boosted by the news of Gaspar Mico's return to training. The Spaniard has been missing following an injury to his jaw sustained during a training session. He has been cleared to return to full contact training from New Year's Day.
SQUAD NEWS:
Anthony Cook's 3 match suspension begins against Ramsgate after his red card in the dying moments against Lewes last weekend. He'll be able to return to action on Saturday 17th January against Cheshunt at Champion Hill.
Alfie Payne should be fine to play on Saturday and was rested on Tuesday following a slight knock to his ankle. Jadan Raymond returned to action on Tuesday and scored in our 3-2 defeat to Kingstonian.
As previously mentioned Gaspar Mico can return to full training from New Year's Day in a massive boost to the Hamlet squad.
