The Hamlet return to SE22 on Saturday afternoon as they return to Isthmian League action against Welling United.

Following an electric start to the Isthmian League season the Hamlet have suffered 2 defeats in their last 2 games. The first came in Sussex at the hands of Whitehawk on Bank Holiday Monday. Last Saturday the Hamlet exited the FA Cup to step 5 side and reigning FA Vase Champions Whitstable Town. The Hamlet took a 2-0 lead before Luke Wanadio was given a straight redcard.

The Oysters comeback was dramatic and as they levelled the score Nyren Clunis was also given his marching orders. It took until the 95th minute for the visitors to capitalise on the 2 man advantage to advance to the next round of the FA Cup. 

Before both of those games the Hamlet had scored 9 and conceded 0 in their opening 4 games of the season with goalkeeper Toby Bull picking up the Isthmian League's Golden Glove award for August. 

Welling United suffered relegation from the National League South last season. The Wings have struggled to adapt to life in step 3 picking up just 1 victory from their opening 5 league games. The victory however came at one of the divisions hardest grounds. A 2-1 victory over Chichester City kickstarted the Bank Holiday weekend with a bang. Apart from that game though they've suffered defeats to Cheshunt, Aveley, Lewes and Cray Valley (PM). 

The Hamlet will be looking to return to winning ways before a break next weekend due to Brentwood's progression in the FA Cup. 

SQUAD NEWS: 

Luke Wanadio and Nyren Clunis both miss out following the red cards they received last weekend against Whitstable. Mannie Mensah, Anthony Jeffrey and Jordan Wynter could all return to action thought.
