Men's March Player of the Month
Polls are open to vote for your men's Player of the Month for March 2023
You can now vote for your men's Player of the Month for March.
March began with a new manager at the helm once again for the Hamlet, as Hakan Hayrettin replaced Paul Barnes in the dugout. Hakan oversaw six games during March, earning wins over St Albans City and Havant & Waterlooville, and drawing with Oxford City at home, whilst suffering defeats on the road at Chelmsford City, Bath City and Ebbsfleet United.
Sanchez Ming played every minute during March, being part of the defence which earned a clean sheet in the victory over St Albans City, and he also netted his second goal of the season on the road at Bath City, where he converted a first half penalty. Sanchez has become one of Hakan's trusted lieutenants on the pitch.
Danny Mills also started every game for the Hamlet during the month, and ended up captaining the side in the 2-2 draw with Oxford at the end of March, heading in an equaliser in that game in trademark fashion. Throughout the month, Mills constantly battered defences with his aerial presence, especially in the victories over St Albans and Havant.
George Porter had a brilliant month in front of goal, scoring three times to go joint level with Mills at the summit of our scoring charts. After scoring our consolation at Chelmsford, Porter went on to net the winner against Havant, and also scored a brilliant effort whilst on the ground at Ebbsfleet, having assisted Joe Felix for his goal earlier in the game.
Joe Felix has largely moved into a central midfield berth since Hakan arrived but has continued to provide the intense levels of energy in that role. He scored his third goal of the campaign with a low drive early on at Ebbsfleet, and produced one of the crosses of the season for Mills to score in the Oxford draw at Champion Hill, having also assisted Porter at Chelmsford.
