Merstham dented The Hamlet's promotion hopes as they took advantage of defensive frailties to exact revenge for their thrashing at Champion Hill.

Dulwich turned in a poor performance that resulted in a comprehensive loss. However, it all looked good early on as Erhun Oztumer shot over when well placed and Xavier Vidal forced a fine save from Merstham keeper Brown.

However, just as it looked like the scoreline would remain blank at half time, a long clearance from the keeper was headed back towards his own goal by a stretching Xavier Vidal and Lee Newman pounced to advance on Phil Wilson. He looked to have pushed it too wide but went over the advancing keeper and the referee pointed to the spot. Fabio Saraiva converted.

The start of the second half saw the game move beyond The Hamlet in the first 15 minutes as Kershaney Samuels conceded a needless corner and Tutu Henriques flicked home Merstham's second. More poor defending left Joe Holland with a simple chance to make it 3-0 on the hour.

The rest of the game saw Dulwich on the front foot with Ryan James twice going close before Luke Hickie headed in a cross from Ahmed Deen that keeper Brown should have claimed. Erhun Oztumer went close with a shot on the turn but it wasn't Dulwich's night and they slipped a further point behind Maidstone.
