The progressive minor local club, whose home ground is on the South Circular, based at the old Southwark Sports ground on Dulwich Common, are hosting an international friendly this afternoon against Somalialand, with all of the proceeds going to charity.

Just to clarify one point though, as printed in yesterdays' 'South London Press', which had a full page news story on the match....

Part of the report stated: "Peckham Town chairman Bryan Hall revealed the game came about because friendly local rivals Dulwich Hamlet , Somalialand's scheduled opponents, were involved in the Ryman League Premier Division's play-offs and could not stage the match."

Dulwich Hamlet Football Club Committee Chairman Liam Hickey said:

"I hope Dulwich Hamlet fans who haven't got other arrangements can pop along to this game, which is for a very good cause. Everyone from Dulwich Hamlet wish them all the best on their big day. However I was a little surprised to read in the local press that we had turned down the game, as it was the first we had heard about it. Whilst we wish them every success it is right to say that the match would never have fitted into our hectic end-of-season schedule, but we had no approach in the first place."
