Monday night IS the final curtain...
For the Dulwich Hamlet season. It's the last match of the season, a Reserve Team match at home to Wealdstone, kick off 7.45pm.
It's been a strange season, to say the least, for the Reserves, with a number of Capital League games not being played, and a too many fixtures squeezed into the latter part of the campaign.
Things clearly didn't work out, for a regular programme of matches spread over the season, so not only will this be our last Reserve match of the season, it will be our last ever Capital League match for the forseeable future, as we have resigned from this league.
We host Wealdstone reserves, and will hopefully sign off with a win following our one nil loss at home to Hanwell Town reserves on Friday night.
There was a bigger than usual crowd for that one, with lots of flags and singing behind the goal, as the 'Rabble' seemed to have 'football withdrawal symptoms', after the First Team had completed their programme at the end of April.
Why not pop along tomorrow to try and guess which youngsters might break through into Gavin Rose's squad for next season, and have a bit of fun with our fans, before we all do our own thing in the summer, until the pre-seasons start in late July?
