The Hamlet were dominant from the start and, after Nyren Clunis had a shot blocked in the third minute, he gave Dulwich the lead in the 7th minute. Dipo Akinyemi turned his marker on the half way line and threaded a pass through the defence to Clunis. He advanced on goal and, despite Danny Gay in the home goal blocking his effort, the ball ran loose for him to place the ball in the empty net.
Nathan Ferguson could have added a second goal in the 10th minute after running on to a through ball from Akinyemi, but he blazed his effort wildly over the bar as Duwlich dominated the early exchanges.
That dominace was rewarded in the 20th minute when Clunis seized on a defensive slip to add his second goal, rolling the ball past Gay.
Any Needham Market attaacks were being comfortably dealt with by Dlwich's trio of central defenders as Weatherstone, Acheampong and Taylor snuffed out any chances, whilst Beaney and Kargbo ensured midfield dominance.
A Corey Addai mistake, as he failed to take a deep cros,s almost gave the home side a lifeline but good defending ensured the danger was snuffed out at the expense of a corner. The Dulwich keeper then ensured that the two goal lead would last until the break as he mde a fine low save from Charley Edge.
Half Time 0-2
Within two miunutes of the restart Dulwich had effectively ended the game when Nyren Clunis found Nathan Ferguson, and he placed a precise klow shot wide of Gay's left hand.
The home keeper then made a fine low save to deny Clunis his hat trick before The Marketmen birefly threatened to get back in the match. Ocran had a fine a low cross cut out by Quade Taylor after he got away on the Dulwich right, and Corey Addai then made a fine save low to his right after a cross from the other flank.
However, that was the sum of the home side's chances to get back into the game, and on the hour Gay had to make two fine saves to deny Dipo Akinyemi. Clunis had anotehr shot blocked and was cynically hacked down by Nunn when it looked like he may be in on goal for his hat trick.
Dulwich were content to hold their lead and ensure there was no way back for the home side as the game reached its inevitable conclusion.
