New boy features in the papers

The weekend edition of the 'South London Press' was on sale today, only 50p from newsagents

Here is what they had to say about us this week:

HAMLET ADD EX-PALACE AND CHARLTON LAD DANIEL TO LINE-UP

Dulwich Hamlet begin their Ryman League Premier Division season at AFC Sudbury tomorrow (3pm). The Suffolk side were Northern Division champions in May with a record 105 points from their 46 games-so will present Gavin Rose's revamped side with a stern test.

The Champion Hill club added to their options this week with the signing of former Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic left-winger Kadell Daniel.

Hamlet ended their preparations with a 2-1 win at rivals Tooting and Mitcham.
Dulwich took the lead in the 49th minute after a goalless first half when Nyren Clunis thumped home past Kyle Merson.

And they grabbed the next goal in the 70th minute through Ashley Carew. A scuffed clearance into midfield from goalkeeper Merson was quickly transferred to Roman Michael-Percil on the left and his cross fell to Carew to slot home.

The Terrors were awarded a penalty in the 88th minute, which Taurean Roberts converted comfortably.

Guyanese Daniel, 22, has previously been with Welling United, Woking and Boreham Wood.

He came through the ranks at Selhurst Park, earning a professional contract in July 2012, but turned down the offer of extending his contract with the Eagles moving to Charlton Athletic the following year.

Several Championship and League One clubs scouted him before he plumped for The Valley.

The Addicks sent him out on loan to Hayes & Yeading United and at Torquay United towards the end of the 2015/26 season. At Plainmoor he scored his first goal in senior football - a well-taken finish setting the Gulls on the way to a 2-0 home win over Altrincham.

Daniel has also been part of the Guyana U23 squad, attempting to qualify for the current Olympics being held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. But they failed to go through after being beaten twice in the qualifying rounds.

Daniel was released by Charlton last summer, joining Woking on a free transfer.
While with the Cards he scored three times in his 21 appearances, a dozen of those as substitute. He moved to Welling United for an undisclosed fee in January scoring goals-including a spectacular winner away to Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park-which made him a fans' favourite but failed to help them beat the drop.
