No pyro...but please party!
A gentle reminder to our fans & a kind warning to our German guests on Saturday...PLEASE no fireworks!
Whilst pyro displays are common in continental Europe, we are not allowed to let fans use any form of pyrotechnics, whether they be flares, smoke bombs, or similar, under Football Association regulations.
Thus they are not allowed under our own ground regulations.
We have had a couple of incidents in the last few seasons, when we have been investigated by the Football Association, and any use on Saturday, or any other Hamlet match home or away, will result in our Club getting into serious trouble with the football authorities.
Only last season our play-off match at Margate was investigated by the Football Association after one such device was set off by the home fans, and we do not wish to be under the same microscope.
We realise we have some of the best & most understanding fans in the non-league world, so we thank you all-along with our guests from Hamburg-for your understanding in this.
Enjoy the game tomorrow, against Peterborough United, and we look forward to everyone being flare free on Saturday.
