Nyren Clunis Testimonial Sunday 7th May
The King of Camberwell will finally be honoured for his lengthy service to the club as two great promotion sides lock horns.
The club are delighted to announce that we will be holding a testimonial for club legend Nyren Clunis.
On Sunday 7th May, Champion Hill will be hosting Nyren's Covid-delayed testimonial in recognition of his lengthy service to the club, in which the Isthmian South winners of 2013 will come up against the Isthmian Premier playoff winners from 2018, with Nyren playing a half for each side.
Kick off will be at 3 o'clock, and fans can buy their tickets by visiting the Events tab on Fanbase - https://bit.ly/3Upzml5. Tickets are £8 for adults, £4 for concessions and Under 13s are free.
The ground will open from 1pm, entry to the ground will be through turnstiles 1 and 2 in the lower car park. We are delighted to be welcoming executive chef Fay Gomes from Kaieteur Kitchen Original from Kennington to provide our catering on the day, with plenty of amazing Guyanese food on the menu!
The "King of Camberwell" left the Hamlet in the summer of 2020, having amassed a staggering 486 appearances for the club after making his debut in November 2009, also scoring 117 times. Nyren was also an instrumental part of our two promotion winning sides under Gavin Rose.
The final squad lists for the game contain guest appearances by some of Nyren's best friends from his time at the Hamlet, plus the two auction winners, who will appear as second half substitutes.
