Oh I do like to be beside the seaside...

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside...

The Dulwich Hamlet Supporters' Team dust down their boots tommorrow in a six-a-side tournament down on the South Coast at Worthing

The day of fun football starts at 10.30am as no less than fourteen sides from the south-east of England, a mix of fans sides and one or two local ones; plus old friends of our & the Worthing supporters, JK Jalgpallihaigla, who are entering the competition for the first time, travelling from Tallinn, the beautiful capital city of Estonia.

We have played in this competition before, held on their Woodside Road stadium pitch, & it has always been great fun in a wonderful, friendly spirit. Worthing have always always been among our closest friends, terrace wise, & we are looking forward to renewing aquaintances with them once more.

All Dulwich Hamlet fans are welcome to pop down for the day, hot & cold snacks are on sale, and the main bar will be open throughout. We still have space in our squad if you would like to take part, just contact one of our 'Rabblers' joint managers. Lester Ford, if you want to play at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Likewise, players who might be interested in the other summer tournaments that the Supporters' Team have entered can contact him too.

You don't need to have played for us before, it is open to all, and new players are welcomed, regardless of age or ability.

The other competitions coming up are on Saturday 1st June, at Hackney Marshes. This is a supporters 6-a-sides run by Leyton Orient supporters, and includes fans teams from all over Great Britain, including our friends from Glasgow, Queen's Park.

And it is to Glasgow where we shall play, in the Over 35's veterans tournament, rather than the open age one, for the Queen's Park Supporters six-a-sides, which is on Saturday 15th June. That will be contested on Lesser Hampden, in the shaodw of the famous main Hampden Park Stadium.
