Hamlet bag two wins in perfect Premier start

Dulwich started life in the Ryman Premier League in perfect fashion last weekend by picking up six points in three days.
Newly promoted Hamlet started their campaign with a home game against highly fancied Lowestoft Town on Saturday and eased to a victory despite playing with ten men after the sending off of Ellis Green.
The winger saw red midway through the second period having put the home side ahead in the first period when he slid home a loose ball after fine work from Harry Ottoway.
However it was not all plain sailing for Dulwich and keeper Phil Wilson was called upon to make several saves, which earned him the man of the match award, including an early penalty-albeit a weak effort from Dan Gleeson.
Despite losing a man that should have swung the initiative the way of the visitors it was Hamlet who secured all three points with seventeen minutes remaining.
Jerome Walker was sent on to add pace up front and with his first touch he drew a clumsy foul that led to the referee pointing to the spot.
Last season's player of the year Erhun Oztumer stepped up to make no mistake from twelve yards and bag all three points for Hamlet.
Two firsth alf Ottoway goals gave Dulwich victory at Hendon on monday night, a win that was much more comfortable than the scoreline suggests.
Hamlet held Hendon at arms length for much of the match and played out a reasonably comfortable win.
The Hendon goal came in injury time, when a penalty was awarded, and although Jefferson Louis dispatched the spot-kick it was much too late to deny Hamlet another three points.

The 'Southwark News' also ran an article on Phil Wilson winning the Man of the Match award:

Wilson wins first fans' vote of the season

Keeper Phil Wilson was crowned man of the match at Champion Hill on Saturday thanks to a new voting system in operation at Dulwich Hamlet.
The fans' vote, sponsored by Supreme Engraving & Awards, allows punters to text in their preferred player in the final minutes of the contest, and up to fifteen minutes after the game, the winner being announced shortly after.
A brilliant performance in the Dulwich goal, against Lowestoft Town, saw Wilson get the fans' vote with the stopper picking up almost 60 per cent of the votes cast.
He was in unbeatable form pulling off a thrid minute penalty save and then going on to deny the Lowestoft forwards at regular intervals.
The system will be in operation at every home game this season. To get involved just text MOM followed by the shirt number of the player you think is the Man Of The Match to 07939 573024 whilst at the game.
