Parsonson Off For Pastures New

Parsonson Off For Pastures New

Moose departs after two seasons at the club to join Fulham.

Popular defender Madi 'Moose' Parsonson has left the Hamlet after two seasons at Champion Hill, joining league rivals Fulham.

Madi leaves off the back of a stellar season in pink and blue, with her performances both in defence and in attack leading her to be overwhelmingly voted as the Supporters' Player of the Season, as well as being voted the Players' Player of the Season by her teammates.

These accolades came after a campaign in which she played 29 times for the Hamlet, more than any other outfield player in the squad, and in total scored eight times in 46 games for the club.

A former AFC Wimbledon player, Madi made her Hamlet debut in the Round Robin competition in the Spring of 2021 in a 1-1 draw with QPR. Having started the first four games of the following season, a serious injury meant she would miss the next four months of the campaign.

However, on her first start in almost six months, she would score a crucial goal against Fulham in the semi-final of the Capital Senior Cup, a game in which we would prevail on penalties, before losing to Ashford Town in the final.

Last season, Moose scored our opening goal of the campaign in the 2-2 draw at Ebbsfleet United, flying forward from wing-back to finish a move. Despite playing most of her football in defence, a move into the front three during the second half of the season would be a revelation, as Madi would go and score in four consecutive games in her new role, a joint-record for the side, which included a brace against Enfield Town.

Her final goal was a long-range special against Dartford, something which was becoming her trademark by the end of the season, with her last game for the club coming at The Den again Millwall Lionesses in May.

Moose links up with good friend Sophie Manzi, with our record scorer having also joined the Cottagers recently.

Thank you for your services with us Madi, a very popular figure with staff, teammates and fans alike, always welcome back at Champion Hill.
