Is there anyone out there who can match the spot kick prowess of the young Dulwich Hamlet keeper Paul Idem?

We don't know if records are kept anywhere, either for The Hamlet, or football in general, but there won't be many who have had a triple success like Paul Idem!

Mention spot kicks & September 2012 to Dulwich fans & they will probably talk about our win over Godalming Town, after extra time, & a penalty shoot-out last Tuesday night, in a thrilling finale to our FA Cup preliminary round replay.

However, First Team first choice Phil Wilson has not been the only one to face penalty kicks.

On Monday 3rd September Paul Idem saved a spot kick for the Reserve Team in a Capital League match.

Two nights later, he repeated the feat, wearing the Youth Team jersey, in our 6-0 thrashing of Metropolitan Police in the preliminary round of the FA Youth Cup, which was at Champion Hill.

Moreover, on Saturday he saved another penalty, this time for the First Team, in our FA Trophy preliminary round defeat away to Romford!

Surely, this must be the first time any Hamlet keeper has saved penalties for three of our sides in the same season, never mind the same month! In addition, it must be very rare for a goalkeeper to achieve this feat anywhere in non-league football, never mind a Champion Hill custodian!
