Plan your trip | Chichester City FC | Oaklands Park
The Hamlet head to Sussex on Saturday to take on Chichester City at Oaklands Park. Plan your trip with our matchday guide here.
STADIUM ADDRESS:
Oaklands Park, Chichester, West Sussex
By Car:
Follow the signs along the A27 until you reach the Portfield roundabout, move over to the right hand lanes, once in them choose the left hand lane.
Go right round the roundabout staying in the left hand lane, you will see a McDonalds on your right as you past. At the end of the road turn left onto Westhampnett Road, keep going straight, passing the Lidl store on the right.
Continue straight on Westhampnett Road, straight over the mini roundabout on to the next roundabout, where you turn right onto Spitalfields Lane.
Follow Spitalfields Lane, past St Richards Hospital and will arrive at the A286 roundabout. Go around the roundabout, move into the left hand lane, follow the A286 down to the Northgate roundabout.
Stay in the right hand lane, you will pass the Fire Station and St Paul’s Church, continue round and Northgate car park is the second turning on left.
By Train:
Trains run direct from London Victoria and take around 90 minutes to Chichester. That is the only direct route from London. The train station is a short 10 minute walk from Oaklands Park.
WHAT FOOD IS AVAILABLE?
Chichester has a standard football menu. Burgers, chips and pies are all available. It was certainly one of the more memorable burger bars of last season.
ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
Yes! Dogs are allowed into Oaklands Park but are to be kept on leads at all times.
PUBS WE RECOMMEND:
Chichester is one of the best places we'll visit for pre and post match pints with another of traditional pubs serving locally sourced drinks.
Closest to Oaklands Park you'll find The Bell Inn. It serves a variety of Real Ale and has food available. The Park Tavern is our 2nd suggestion around 8 minutes from the stadium.
Our final suggestion is The Hole in the Wall. It's a dog friendly pub serving house and local beers, ciders and real ales. This is a slightly longer walk from the stadium but is certainly our number 1 suggestion ahead of Saturday afternoon!
