Popular Smiffy Leaves The Club
Goalkeeping coach leaves Champion Hill after eight month spell.
Men's Goalkeeping Coach Andy Smith has made the decision to step down from his role and leave the club.
Andy arrived at Champion Hill in September in the early days of Paul Barnes' tenure as manager, having most recently been part of the Bracknell Town set-up.
Smiffy has been immensely popular with the playing squad and club staff alike, especially amongst the goalkeeper's union of Charlie Grainger, Aaron Jones and academy keeper Toby Colwell.
He was also the only member of the coaching staff to remain at the club following the arrival of Hakan Hayrettin in March.
Everyone at the club would like to thank Andy for his time with us, always incredibly welcoming and friendly, and extremely dedicated to his profession too. We wish him, and fiancée Lisa, the very best for the future, both are always welcome to come down to the ground.
Up the Keepers!
