PRESIDENTIAL HONOURS FOR DULWICH VP
Dulwich Hamlet are delighted to report that one of our Vice-Presidents, Bob "The Cat" Bevan, MBE, has been appointed President of Kent County Cricket Club for 2013.
Bob, the well-known after dinner speaker, author, television and radio personality, has frequently appeared on Channel 4’s Countdown, with Sir Terry Wogan on Aunties Bloomers, and presented BBC Radio 5’s Six-O-Six show. He has been a great supporter of Kent CCC for many years and he is believed to be only the second person from the world of show business to become President of, a County Cricket club, the other being Sir Richard Stilgoe at Surrey in 2005. Born in Dulwich in 1945, Bob used to watch Dulwich Hamlet regularly in his youth and for a while earned a little pocket money selling our programmes. He still attends a few of our matches each season. We congratulate Bob on his appointment.
