Romans make the march to Champion Hill this Saturday as Dulwich return to action after a week’s break.

Gavin Rose’s men welcome Bath City to the Hill on Saturday fresh off the back of a well earnt break due to Havant & Waterlooville’s FA Cup commitments last weekend. It will be a fortnight on from the Halloween treat provided last time out, and Hamlet fans will be hoping for yet another cracker when Jerry Gill’s side make the trip to Tuscany.

Hampton & Richmond’s visit capped off a busy yet productive schedule for Rose’s troops, as Dulwich played three games in a week, picking up seven points in the process. A 2-1 away victory in Essex over struggling Braintree Town was then followed up by two games at home against fellow play off hopefuls Maidstone United and the forementioned Hampton & Richmond. A goalless draw against the Stones proved Dulwich have the defensive resilience required to push for playoffs, whilst the 4-3 thriller to finish the week, by Rose’s own omission, showed that his squad have the capability to win whilst not being at their fluent best.

The visitors come into the encounter upbeat as they put a five-game losing streak to bed after a 2-1 home triumph over Welling. Elliott Frear and Alex Fletcher ensured Arthur Penney’s 94th minute strike would be a mere consolation to give the Romans maximum points for the first time since September- a 3-1 away win at Braintree. Those precious three points leave Bath in 16th five points clear of the foot of the table.

The Hamlet enjoyed a comfortable win when the two teams met back in late November last year, when Michael Timlin, Giovanni McGregor, Deon Moore, and Danny Mills helped overturn a second minute goal by current Sutton forward Donovan Wilson. However, the Somerset side’s last visit proved more fruitful, with the Romans winning 3-1 back in 2019 in a season which saw them finish 4th. A win for the Hamlet could move them back into the playoffs after they have temporarily slipped out due to Havant’s midweek win.
