REPORT | Cray Valley (PM) vs Dulwich Hamlet | 5/4/25
The Hamlet completed their run of matches against teams in the play-off positions on Saturday afternoon with a trip to a blustery Cray Valley (PM) aiming to pick up 3 valuable points in the fight for Isthmian League survival.
The Hamlet would start this one on the front foot and Danny Mills would go close after 20 minutes as he latched on to a Luke Wanadio cross but he headed just wide.
15 minutes later and Michael Chambers would head the boys in red & white ahead. He got his head on a cross from Arj Krasniqi and slammed it into the back of the net putting the Hamlet deservedly ahead.
Minutes later and Luke Wanadio would go close to getting his 20th of the season. A cross come shot beat everyone in the box before striking the far post and being hoofed clear.
With the Hamlet heading up hill and into the wind the 2nd half would be a struggle and Cray would go close to an equaliser after just 5 minutes.
As we entered the final 20 minutes Cray Valley (PM) 2nd half dominance would pay off Danny Waldron was left free at the back post and headed home from a corner.
Cray would then find themselves ahead 10 minutes later as Marcel Barrington slammed home a strike as the Hamlet struggled to clear from a long throw.
As we entered the final minutes the Hamlet would be dead and buried as Ben Mason got his foot onto the end of a Cray cross but he put it past Dylan Berry into the back of the net.
The Hamlet head to Bognor Regis Town next on Saturday afternoon as they sit just 5 points clear of the bottom 4.
