REPORT | Enfield Town vs Dulwich Hamlet

Author : David Diangienda

The Hamlet conceded late on as they fell to a 3-2 defeat away to playoff chasing Enfield Town.

Luke Wanadio opened the scoring for Dulwich in the first half before Danny Mills doubled the lead in the second half.

The home side then scored three goals without reply to give them all three points.

Hakan’s side went into this game on the back of a 2-0 win away at Lewes last weekend as they looked to push on with their playoff credentials.

The first half was an even and competitive contest throughout as the two sides spent the majority of the half trying to establish possession.

The visitors in the 37th minute then scored from the penalty spot courtesy of Wanadio after Mills was brought down in the penalty area.

There were some frantic moments towards the end of the first half as Michael Chambers almost scored a header in additional time and he followed this with a goal line clearance to stop the hosts from equalising.

Into the second half, the hosts were beginning to pile on pressure on Dulwich as they were in search for the equaliser with Marcus Wyllie forcing R’avan Constable to make a save following his free-kick.

Dulwich then went down to ten-men following Joshua Okpolokpo’s second yellow card in the 55th minute.

Despite not having the man advantage, Mills then scored the second goal of the game following his curling effort into the bottom right corner two minutes later.

Hakan's side continued to defend bravely as the half went on before being dealt a blow as Sam Youngs scored from the penalty spot in the 69th minute following a handball in the penalty area.

The team was dealt with a further seatback eleven minutes later as the hosts scored the equalising goal as Jonathan Hippolyte side-footed his effort into the back of the net.
And in the closing stages of the game, the home team would go on and get the winning goal as James Richmond controlled the ball in the box to put the ball in the net as Dulwich failed to hang on in the end.
