REPORT | Potters Bar Town vs Dulwich Hamlet | Isthmian League | 11/3/25

The Hamlet headed to Hetfordshire on Tuesday night looking to build on a 3-3 draw with Hashtag United on Saturday afternoon. The Hamlet took the lead in that one after 5 minutes thanks to Amaru Kaunda ultimately though the Hamlet would have to settle for a point following a late comeback.

Tuesday night provided an opportunity to move further away from the drop zone heading into a tough run of fixtures as we take on 3 of the sides currently in the play-offs in our next 4 games. Max Hudson missed out after he picked up a knock on Saturday afternoon.

It would take the Hamlet just 10 minutes to fire this game into life as George Porter in only his 2nd start of 2025 played a beautiful pass through to David Bremang who for the 2nd game running took the ball around the keeper and fired home into an empty net.

The hosts went close after 25 minutes as they fired a long range strike just wide. 5 minutes later and the most controversial moment of the night as a shot looked like it hit the arms of Michael Chambers only for the referee to wave the penalty appeals away.

The Scholars would have a great opportunity just before half time as they won a free kick on the edge of the box but it was ultimately fired well over the bar.

The 2nd half began with the Hamlet on the front foot as Amaru Kaunda fired a shot agonisingly over the bar before David Bremang had an opportunity minutes later which he dragged wide of the post.

Potters Bar went close after 55 minutes as Dylan Berry who flung himself towards the right hand post to deny the hosts an equaliser.

Dylan Berry would be called into action again as we entered the dying embers as a deflected shot looked to sneak in before he scrambled it away.

That would be that though and the Hamlet picked up their first away league win since September 7th against Canvey Island 185 days ago.
