RESERVES SUFFER LATE REVERSE
The Reserves suffered a 1-0 defeat at Hampton & Richmond Borough in last night's Capital League fixture.
A goal 10 minutes from time was enough to condemn the Reserves to a narrow defeat in last night's penultimate Capital League game.
A very young Dulwich side augmented by the inclusion of Junior Kadi, Junior James and also including squad members Ethan Pinnock and Jake Rose, suffered a narrow defeat at Hampton & Richmond borough.
In a game with a distinct end of season feel the only goal was scored some 10 minutes from time when a long ball to the Hampton left saw the forward cut inside and shoot home inside Anthony Page's near post.
Before that, goalmouth action was at a premium although The Hamlet dominated the first half with Junior Kadi controlling the midfield and bringing the wingers into the game on a regular basis. However, the only chances of note were a Jake Rose shot that was blocked and a header from the same player clawed away by the keeper.
Hampton lengthened their passing in the second half and created a few chances, one of which hit the bar following a scramble in the box. However, overall it was The Hamlet who controlled the game with their short passing style that looked to go out wide at all times.
The match gave Gavin Rose a chance to further the development of a number of young players and many produced assured performances which bode well for the future.
