Saturday: Dulwich Hamlet vs Billericay Town
A look ahead to this weekend’s home game against Billericay Town
Following Tuesday night’s 0-0 draw away to Welling United, Dulwich Hamlet return to action at Champion Hill this Saturday at 3pm against Billericay Town.
Both sides are in their second season in the National League South but find themselves further down the table than they would like, with Dulwich in 16th and Billericay in 11th.
Change has been afoot at the Essex club, with former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara replacing Harry Wheeler as manager in September. Experienced midfielder Sam Deering left for Dagenham & Redbridge this week, along with Moses Emmanuel, the club’s top scorer from last season, who has been released. Jordan Parkes, one of Billericay’s key signings this summer, has also recently left for King’s Langley.
Reinforcements include striker Deon Moore, who has joined on loan from Bristol Rovers, Josh Urquhart, who re-joins from Braintree Town, and midfielder Andrew Osei-Bonsu, who signs from St Ives Town.
Little could separate the two sides in a pair of entertaining fixtures last season. Nathan Ferguson netted a memorable equaliser in the away game back in October 2018 in our 1-1 draw at Billericay, while Lloyd Doyley’s injury time own goal handed us a 2-2 draw in the return fixture at Champion Hill in March 2019.
After last Friday’s sell out game against Carlisle United, Saturday’s clash against Billericay is sure to be another memorable affair. Don’t miss out!
