Dulwich suffered their first away defeat of the season as two preventable goals saw them defeated at Staines Town
Match Details here
With just one change from Saturday's victory at Lowestoft with Gavin Tomlin coming into the side and Ibra Sekajja on the bench.
Dulwich opened brightly with Nyren Clunis having an early effort parried away by Turner. Vas Karagiannis began brightly and his marker, Afolabi Coker, could easily have been sent off within 15 minutes; being booked for scything him down and then escaping a second card for pulling him back.
Despite their early dominance, the Dulwich defence looked vulnerable and Preston Edwards saved low to his right whilst a cross just evaded the onrushing Bettamer.
Dumebi Dumaka saw his header from a Nyren Clunis cross held by Turner but it was the home side that took a 19th minute lead. If you were a Staines fan you would probably say it was a brilliant goal by Brandon Adams, but from a Dulwich perspective it was a poor one to concede.
Adams won a challenge close to the touchline on half way and the set off on a 50 yard rn from right to left past a series of statuesque Dulwich players before firing past Preston Edwards.
This setback was one from which The Hamlet never really recovered and it was some time before thrre was a response. A neat interchange on the edge of the box saw the home side almost add a second goal before Dulwich rallied as half time approached.
Nyren Clunis went close after his persistence created a shooting chance whilst Dumaka had an effort deflected over the top.
Half Time 1-0
Dulwich came out early for the second half but more sloppy play saw them concede again almost immediately. Giving the ball away close to half way, Adams picked it up and once again ran at a retreating defence before accepting the opportunity to fire past Preston Edwards from the edge of the box.
For a while Dulwich looked more likely to concede a third than reduce the deficit; Worsfold firing across the six yard box and delivering a number of other crosses that were scrambled clear.
As Dulwich finally regained some composure, Dumaka had an effort that was easily saved by Turner and Clunis couldn't get a touch to a cross from Karagiannis that flashed across goal.
However, Dulwich seemed to run out of ideas as Staines defence easily dealt with the any threats as they looked to hold what they had.
A presentable chance did not arrive until the last minute when Dumaka muscled his way into the box but his effort was saved by Turner with the unmarked Clunis open in front of goal.
Final Score 2-0
