Such a moving tribute

A few weeks ago, on 22nd August, eleven people perished in the Shoreham Air Disaster down on the Sussex coast

And while there were no actual Dulwich Hamlet connections, two of those who perished were part of the wider footballing family, namely Matt Grimstone and Jacob Schilt, who were on their way to play for Worthing United against Loxwood, in a Southern Combination League match-that division being only two levels below the Isthmian League Premier Division.

Those of you will recall the excellent portfolio produced by one of England's finest non-league photographers David Bauckham, who was at our pre-season international match against Altona 93, you can CLICK HERE to view, if you missed them.

The week before the disaster David was at Worthing United to cover their match against Deal Town in the FA Cup, you can see his report by CLICKING HERE.

At the weekend he returned, for their home match last Sunday in the FA Vase against East Preston, which was a memorial game for their two late players. I defy you not to be affected by his moving photo report HERE.

I thank you for reading this post, allowing ourselves to pay tribute to those who died at Shoreham, especially the footballers, I am sure the thoughts of not just all of us at Dulwich Hamlet, but the whole footballing world are with them.
