The "12th Man" bucket helps reach a milestone!
Thanks to donations last night, with donations in the matchday bucket, the supporter-led "12th Man" campaign hit the TWO THOUSAND POUNDS mark!
An amazing feat, since the launch only just before Christmas, with donations large and small all adding up to hit the two grand mark, in such a short space of time.
Already some of the fund has been of benefit to First Team boss Gavin Rose, which was the major factor in being able to put Danny carr under contract; and then Youth Team young prospect putting pen to paper & signing one too.
One of those running the scheme, Neil Cole, told Hamlet Pitchero:
" We knew we were coming up to this figure, but we weren't sure if we'd reach it, as people only have so much money to spare, what with us having a bit of a run of home games. But last night we received over fifty quid in the bucket. It was quite emotional, when we counted it, & realised the significance."
His fellow "12th Man" organiser, Shaun Dooley added:
"We are in a strong position to offer more funding to Gavin, if & when he needs it. If he doesn't require it immediately it will be saved for him. We have it for one reason & one reson only-to put toward improving his playing squad. We spoke to him on Saturday, & he knows it's there, and appreciates the support he is being given by every single Dulwich Hamlet fan who contributes."
