The Club remember our fallen tonight.
With The Hamlet being away on Saturday, the day before Remembrance Sunday, a wreath will be laid on our War Memorial this evening.
All supporters are invited to attend the brief post-match ceremony in the boardroom at 10 o'clock, following our London Senior Cup tie at home to Erith Town.
The Club realise that the late time is not perfect, but hope fans will join the Committee in paying respects & remembering the twenty two who never returned to Champion Hill after the First World War & four more brave men who didn't come home from the 1939-45 one.
"They went with songs to the battle, they were young.Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them."
