THIS SATURDAY IS KIT AMNESTY DAY
Bring your unwanted old sportswear, sports equipment and old schoolwear/uniforms to the match against Truro City this Saturday.
We are pleased to announce that our home match this Saturday will be a ‘Kit Amnesty’ match. In the run up to, and during, our home game against Truro City, Dulwich Hamlet will be collecting any unwanted old sportswear, sports equipment and old school wear / uniforms.
The clothing and equipment will be donated to Wear A Sports Shirt Day, which will distribute it to charities working in the UK and throughout the world to get underprivileged young people involved in sport. This has been organised in partnership with Cornishman Julian Chenery, now resident in London, who runs the “Wear A Sports Shirt Day” charity project and travels to non-league games regularly collecting donations.
Also attending the game will be Osman Sesay (London School of Science & Technology, Sierra Leone); Elizabeth Anyu (Immaculate Heart of Mary Senior Secondary School, Uganda) and Alex Tugume (Talents Academy, Uganda) who will accept the donations on behalf of the organisations they represent.
There will be a number of collection points at the match but, if you are unable to attend the match, there will be a collection point at the club during the week before. Just drop off your donations of sports clothing or equipment to the DHFC Bar.
If you are a local school or business and would like to host a donation point for the duration of the week before the match, please email
