Two New Faces In The Squad
Michael Phillips joins on loan from Barnet and Kristian Campbell returns to club
It's been another busy few days at the club as Hakan Hayrettin has brought in another couple of faces, including one familiar to Hamlet fans.
First through the door is midfielder Michael Phillips, who has signed on loan from National League side Barnet for the remainder of the season.
The 25-year-old has worked with Hakan Hayrettin in the past, playing 31 times in the National League South last season as Maidstone United won the division, and prior to that also won the league with Wealdstone.
A former Crystal Palace youngster, Michael has only made seven appearances in the league for the Bees this season, and has also spent time with Gloucester City on loan.
Also rejoining the club is our former defender Kristian Campbell, who joins from Dartford.
The 28-year-old first played for us back in 2013, and has a Hamlet goal to his name, that coming in a 5-1 defeat at Cray Wanderers in the Isthmian League cup. After leaving Champion Hill, he was back for a second short spell in the 2015-16 season.
Since then, he has played for the likes of Merstham, Bromley and Bognor Regis Town, and has been a regular opponent against us in the National League South with the likes of Eastbourne Borough, Welling United and Dartford.
This season, he has made 16 league appearances for the Darts, but has found game time harder to come by in recent weeks.
Michael will wear number 17 for us, and Kristian number 28. A warm welcome to both!
