VAS KARAGIANNIS RECALLED FROM LOAN SPELL BY ‘STONES
The winger’s prolific spell in Pink’n’Blue has not gone unnoticed back in Maidstone & so we bid farewell... for now!!
With Maidstone United struggling in the lower reaches of the Vanarama National League, having one just once since the start of November, manager Jay Saunders has chosen to bolster his attacking options by cutting short Vas Karagiannis’ two-month loan at Champion Hill and recalling him to the Gallagher Stadium. It seems certain that Vas will be back in the Stones starting line-up when they host fellow National League strugglers North Ferriby at the Gallagher on Saturday.
This was news many Dulwich Hamlet fans must have dreaded, for, at a time when the Stones are struggling for form, Karagiannis has been electrifying the fields of the Ryman League Premier Division for the Hamlet. A dozen appearances and half-a-dozen goals for Dulwich started at Lowestoft Town where he marked his debut with an incredible finish from an impossible angle. In Vas’ time with Dulwich Gavin Rose’s men have been beaten just the once as they staked their claim amidst the promotion pack whilst embarking on another FA Trophy adventure.
Everyone at Dulwich Hamlet wishes Vas all the best back in Kent. Let us not think of this as “Goodbye but “Be seeing you”!
