Volunteers Required for Concord
Helpers needed to remove snow from the pitch ahead of Saturday's game.
The club are on the lookout for four to six volunteers to help us remove snow from the Champion Hill surface ahead of our clash with Concord Rangers this weekend.
The snow is deliberately being left on the surface until the last minute, as it is currently protecting the grass from being frozen in the cold conditions each night, and will be removed on the morning of the game.
Volunteers will need to arrive at the ground for 9 o'clock, and although we have shovels on site, if you are able to bring a plastic snow shovel, that would be helpful too. Please ensure you also wear appropriate clothing for the conditions, thick gloves, hat, coat etc.
We will be holding a pitch inspection at 10:45, although we still remain positive that the game will go ahead.
If you are able to help, please email our general manager at
We will provide plenty of hot refreshments and there will be free entry to this game or a future one, as well as some complimentary drinks.
