Walk and Talk Event raises over £400 for charity
Dulwich Hamlet would like to thank every fan who took part or contributed to our Walk and Talk event last Saturday
Prior to our home pre-season fixture against Crystal Palace, a group of supporters walked from Selhurst Park to Champion Hill to raise awareness for mental health and male suicide in support of the CALM charity (Campaign Against Living Miserably).
Shockingly, male suicide is the biggest killer of men aged under 45 in the UK, equating to around 84 men a week. Men in particular find it hard to talk and reach out when they need help and support.
Despite the torrid weather in the run up, over 50 fans joined the 5.2 mile walk.
The walk not only raised awareness but raised over £400 for the charity CALM.
This included Dulwich Hamlet FC donating its share of the 50/50 half time raffle to the cause.
Following the success of this event, we are already looking at potential future fixtures where we could run a similar event.
As always, thank you for your fantastic support!
