Gavin Rose was able to make a few changes to the starting line up, with Anthony Acheampong back from injury along with Nathan Green on the bench. However, both Ashley Carew and Gavin Tomlin remained sidelined.
The first half was one that The Hamlet will wish to forget as they failed to muster any worthwhile efforts on goal. It may have been different if Nyren Clunis had taken a good opportunity in the fifth minute. Nathan Ferguson threaded a pass through the defence to release Clunis on goal but he fired high and wide with a poor finish.
Sanchez Ming's eighth minute cross was just too high for players arriving in the box, whilst for Waltham Abbey Darrell Russell fired just too high after a determined run.
After that, there was little of note to report from a first half that was utterly forgettable, with neither keeper tested until the last kick of the half, when Preston Edwards had to be alert to tip over a free kick.
Half Time 0-0
After the terrible first half, it took Dulwich only until the 48th minute to take the lead. A Nyren Clunis cross was blocked. However, it came to Sanchez Ming whose low effort was poked past the keeper and into the net by Reise Allassani.
Just two minutes later and a second goal arrived. Nyren Clunis was released on the right by a long ball played forward from the back. He then cut the ball back to Sanchez Ming whose effort could only be pushed out in front of goal, where Nathan Ferguson was on hand to pass thee ball into the net.
The third goal arrived just eight minutes later. Sanchez Ming was brought down after a fine forward run. The resulting free kick from Nathan Ferguson was floated to the far post where Michael Chambers directed his towering header back across goal and inside the far post.
Following the three goals, it was now just a matter of how many Dulwich could score. It took a good block to keep out an effort from Nana Boakye-Yiadom who also had an effort ruled out for offside.
Waltham Abbey's effort could never be faulted but they could only force a couple of routine saves from Preston Edwards.
Near the end there was a welcome return to action for Nathan Green who almost immediately set off on a trademark run forward, whilst it took a fine sabve in the last minute to block an effort from Muhammadu Faal.
