
Women progress in the FA Cup
Following Sunday's 6-2 victory over Hackney, we will face Lancing in the next round of the FA Cup
Dulwich Hamlet Women's defeated Hackney 6-2 on Sunday afternoon in the Vitality Women's FA Cup preliminary round tie. A hat-trick from Saskia Philp, along with goals from Sophie Manzi and Lucy Monkman, helped Dulwich to victory on Hackney Marshes.
Dulwich will now face Lancing FC away in the first round qualifying tie, to be held on Sunday 4th October 2pm kick-off. Lancing defeated AFC Acorns 5-4 on penalties to progress to the next round, after their tie finished 2-2. The game will be played at Lancing's Culver Road.
The result was Dulwich's third win of the season, with Manzi continuing her impressive goalscoring form. The striker is now on eight goals for the season, having also bagged herself a hat-trick in the previous round against Margate.
Meanwhile, the Women's Reserves were 2-0 victors over Hampton & Richmond Ladies FC with goals from Ingrid Hernandez and Jordan Williamson, rounding off a successful weekend for the club.
